How to Create Custom Tabs for Facebook Business/Fan Pages

Step 1: Log in into Facebook as a Facebook Developer

Login in into your Facebook account
Visit Facebook Developer Page.
Click on App tab. Choose Register as a Developer (See image below). Visit for details https://developers.facebook.com/docs/create-developer-account/

Step 2: Create your first/new Facebook APP

Visit https://developers.facebook.com/apps
Click on Create New APP (top right side). Choose your APP name and Category(See below image)

Now, your APP is ready. Now This app is in Sandbox Mode(Only visible to Admins, Developers and Testers)

Step 3: Create content that will display within the App’s Tab. Upload your content to your server. Try to keep content width 520px to 810px. Note the following –

You Domain name or App Domains without www. Like your_domain.com. Not www.your_domain.com. My domain name is ‘https://dev.cybernetikz.com’.
Your Content URL or Page Tab URL. Like http://www.your_domain.com/blog/. My content URL https://dev.cybernetikz.com/blog/
Your Secure content URL or Secure Page Tab URL. Like https://www.your_domain.com/blog/. My content URL https://dev.cybernetikz.com/blog/
Your page tab image. Image size must be 111x74px.

Step 4: Back to you APP and setup some basic information as like below image and save it. Also note the APP ID.

Step 5: Add Your Content/tab to Your Facebook Page

Generate your URL to add your content/Tab to Facebook page like below

http://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=YOUR_APP_ID&next=YOUR_CONTENT_URL

You’ll need to replace the parts I’ve bolded in the URL above- “YOUR_APP_ID” and “YOUR_URL” with some information that Facebook provides for your app, your “App ID/API Key” and your “Content URL” Like –

Now, copy this URL and past it to Browser. You will find a page as like below image.

Choose your Facebook Page and click to ADD Page Tab.

Step 6: Visit your Facebook page. You will show a tab created on your Fan page as like below.

From here you can change/swap tab position
