Unique page title is vital for search engines, don’t shoot yourself in the foot by having the same title in all pages, this is a huge mistake, SEO pro Eric Enge recommends to do the following for page titles

  • 1. It should be no more than 60 character
  • 2. The first 40 characters should describe the topic (and not be wasted on generic terms or – in virtually all cases – branding)
  • 3. It must contain your primary keyword phrase
  • 4. It must convey the key content of the article in terms of value to the reader
  • 5. It must make sense when read out of context. Do not assume the reader knows what your site is about, or what page on your site that you’re linking to this page from
  • 6. It must be unique from all other titles on your web site, and ideally unique across the entire web
  • 7. Use mixed case
