Today I am going to share some tips and tricks for Facebook marketing.

Today almost everyone, seems to be using Facebook. According to Facebook’s statistics, people spend more than 700 billion minutes monthly on Facebook. So Facebook is a large platform for marketing now a days. So It is crucial that your company explores ways that your audience are using the social networking platform and develop a corresponding plan. Therefore too many companies configure a Facebook page now a days and randomly post. But this is not better way.

So the question is what is better way for Facebook marketing.

Create a business page

To maximize Facebook’s business potential, you need to create a business page, not a personal profile, to represent your brand. Creating page is very simple. Just visit http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php and follows step by step instructions.

Claim your page’s Vanity URL

When you finished of creating your business page, make it more shareable and easier to find by creating a noticeable URL (e.g. http://www.facebook.com/cybernetikz).

Add a Cover Photo

After creating your page add a creative cover photo to your page. Now a days Facebook enables you to feature a 851*315 cover photo at the top of your business page. Get creative with it to catch the attention of new page visitors. Auto-publish blog content

Now start populating your page’s timeline with content. It is post content regularly on your business blog. If you maintain a business blog, you can connect your blog to auto post links to new blog content you publish. There are several blogging platforms like WordPress and hubspot automatically offer this feature within it’s software. For that you will just need to turn it and synchronize it with your page.

Make sure meta descriptions of Blog posts are complete

Have you noticed that when you post a link to Facebook, it picks in a brief description as well as an image? The description gets picked from the page’s meta description, so make sure any blog content you publish has a complete meta description to enhance its presence.

Pin a post every seven days

Facebook new page design allows you to pin or anchor one of the posts on your page’s timeline to the top for seven days at a time. Pinning content is very useful. Pinning content always show on top of pages. Pinning content prevent it from getting buried by more recent updates. So use this feature to highlight specific posts about remarkable and important content like as best marketing offers or events you want to feature. Update your pin every seven days once. To pin an update, hover over a story, click on the pencil icon in the top right corner and choose ‘Pin to Top’.

Star or Hide Posts

You can modify the items in your business page’s timeline to highlight certain posts apparently then others. By hovering over individual stories, you can make them wider and more apparent on your page by clicking the star icon or hide them from your timeline by clicking on the pencil icon.

Leverage your most visual content

Facebook’s new timeline page allows visual content like images and videos, so use that for getting advantage. Try to post content with images because posts including a photo album or picture can generate 2x more involvement that other post types. Because images will now appear larger on your page. Think photos, charts, infographics and other content visualizations. You can follow these type of posting content also on other social media like pinterest and Google+.

Create custom page tabs

You can create custom page tabs to promote your product. Which are accessible via ‘View & Apps’ section of your page.

Add milestones

Facebook page design supports ‘Milestones’ which allows you to call attention to significant events in your business history. Use the feature to highlight some of your business biggest achievement such as fan growth, award wins, product releases, major events etc. you create a milestone via the status update box which will prompt you to input information about your milestone such as its name, location, date, story description and an image, which is set at 843*504 pixels.

Use Facebook insights

Facebook insights is Facebook’s internal analytics tool that helps you to measure and analyze your Facebook presence. This tool provide Facebook page administrator with analytics data about page visits and engagement and can help you to understand which content is engaging your fans and which is not. Access your page’s insights at http://www.facebook .com/insights or by clicking into ‘Admin Panel’ on your page. Using Facebook insights you can change or improve your business strategy.

Tag other users and business pages

You can tag other users or other business pages. This make your page more engaging and interactive by enabling others to post content on your timeline. Enabling this feature will also automatically publish posts to your page’s timeline that are from other users who have tagged your page in their posts.
